Recipients will be awarded a three hundred dollar ($300) grant.
The Teachers As Readers project gives educators the opportunity to read a variety of current literature, discuss what they have read, and share strategies for using the literature in the classroom.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Form a book group consisting of teachers and administrators who are SCIRA members
- Have at least one school or district administrator in the group
- Follow all application directions and submit all items on time
Grant applications must be received by December 1st.
A copy of the book order must be submitted by June 1st.
The project evaluation must be received by May 1st.
